Christian & Reagan's Daily Diary

I was trying to figure a way to keep a daily diary of Christian and Regan's daily activities without making the blog seem mundane with simple things that were said and done. What I will do is post daily comments under this topic, sort of as a diary. I will still post new topics any time they do something significant, but for the every day stuff, I'll post it under here. I have posted a link to this under "Links to 'Related' Websites" for future reference.

It's about time I posted something here. Yesterday, Reagan was in her high chair, having just ate, while I was putting up dishes. Christian came in and starting pushing her to the side door. I asked him where he was going and he said he was going to take her outside so he could watch her play. Sure enough, he pushed her out on to the deck by the side door and proceeded to ride his tricycle and car while she watched. She really enjoyed herself. After about 45 minutes, Christian said it was time to come in, and pushed her to our bedroom, where the both of them watched PBS. Christian really loves having her for his audience and she really loves being his audience.

This morning, Christian awoke around 7:30, came into our room, turned on the TV, crawled into our bed and changed the station to PBS. He knows that pushing 8 will get him PBS and pushing 1-1 then 7 (as he says it) will get him Noggin. This has been his usual routine for several months. What was really cute was that he had a band-aid in his hand, and told Rhian that he needs a band-aid for his finger. Rhian told him that he has to have a boo boo for us to put a band aid on him. So he quickly grabbed his thumb and started crying "Ouch!" He tried this for a few minutes before he gave up, and decided to put Rhian's robe over his head and started acting like a ghost, waving his arms everywhere.

Christian had a great practice on Tuesday. He started kicking the ball around to warm up as soon as we reached. Coach Graham even commented that it's like night and day compared to his first practice. They did obstacle courses as well practice dribbling, shooting, and following directions. Christian looked like a real athlete drinking his water during the breaks. He really enjoyed his practice.

Christian has himself a little crush. We have a Brazilian lady who comes to clean our house once a week. Christian follows her everywhere she goes. The only time he doesn't is when she's vacuuming, because it's loud and he can't hear his Noggin. When I went to give her her check for payment, he said "No, I got it!", took it from me, gave it to her and said "Here you go." Christian also likes ballroom dancing. We're not sure if it's the dancing or the women dancing that he's interested in. (Remember, the dancing girls were the highlight of his trip to the basketball game 2 weeks ago.) He and mommy watched it while they ate popcorn.

Rhian and I think Christian is the sweetest boy ever. An example of this came on Tuesday, when Rhian's mother came to the house. Before she arrived, Rhian had prepared a spaghetti dinner. Rhian's mom had yet to arrive, and Rhian went ahead and gave Christian a plate of food, since he was hungry. He just sat there, looking at his food without eating. Rhian told him to go ahead and eat, but he said he was going to wait until grandma got there, and did. On Wednesday, he did the same thing with Kyle while over at my parent's house. My mom made macaroni and cheese for the both of them, making Christian's first. Christian waited until Kyle's was ready and cool enough to eat. This is totally Christian's idea, because we never tell Christian to wait to eat with everybody else. He is very thoughtful!

On Wednesday, Rhian left to go to Phoenix. Unfortunately, I had left my wallet in the glove compartment in her car. Fortunately, she had parked close to the entrance, and I had a remote to open the car. I took the kids with me to get it. When we reached, there was a sign at the gate that said "FULL". All of sudden, I hear Christian say the letters F-U-L-L. He is learning his letters, big and small, but this was the first time he read them outside of his books or puzzles! As my Pap Pap would say, "The boy's no dummy!". :o)

Christian continues to have his crush on our house cleaner Nara. Christian really loves his vitamin gummy bears. I gave him 3 yesterday, and before he hate them, he went up to Nara and asked her if she would like one. Christian is very generous with things he really likes, especially with people he likes!
