Everything went well yesterday with the transplant. Both Karen and Uncle John are doing very well. The doctors said Karen's kidney was very healthy (as we would expect with all her working out! :o>) The doctors have recommended both of them to walk. While I was on the phone today with Dad, her and Uncle John had a race down the hall of the hospital, and Dad gave me the play-by-play. Karen started out fast and looked like she was going to win, but Uncle John put on a surge at the end and finished strong to beat Karen by a kidney. :o) Karen should be out of the hospital tomorrow and return back to Atlanta on Tuesday. Incredible. Science is amazing, isn't it?

Hello Sharp Clan!
I was given your link by my son to view. I was amazed to hear about what Karen did for her Uncle. What a marvelous and loving thing to do! I'm so happy to hear that they are recovering well. I hear wonderful things about the family from my "boy" and just wanted to say "hello".
God Bless,
