Today Mom and Dad are celebrating 44 years of marriage. Their lives together over the years have take them from a steel town in Pennsylvania, to Ohio, to where they are now in Georgia. They have been through the best of times and the worst of times. Through the years, Mom and Dad have paid their dues to make sure that our family always had a roof over our head and food on the table, instilled good values in us, and taught us the importance of family. Whatever life dealt them, they dealt with it in remarkable fashion. What they taught us can be reflected in who Karen and I have become, and how it's being reflected in our children. In this day and age of high divorce rates and dysfunctional families, I feel blessed to be the son of two wonderful parents who have remained committed to each other this long, and who have since become wonderful grandparents to our children and Kyle. Here's hoping that they have many more anniversaries.
